The last year has been anything but ordinary. Taking it day by day, we're all doing our best to navigate this "new normal" and adapt to whatever is thrown our way. Virtual and hybrid learning have no doubt been challenging for students, teachers and families. It's easy for us to focus on the difficulties that have come with this new learning strategy.

But instead, we'd like to shed light on some of the good.

North Penn High School student Mira Anugonda recently traveled to her family's home country of India to tend to family needs. What previously would have resulted in missed education was now a simple solution - learning virtually. With the innovation of virtual learning, Mira has been able to keep up with her studies and hasn't missed a beat.

Mira recently gave a live, virtual presentation from more than 7,874 away in Mumbai, India for her exploratory German class. Her project focused on the culture of Berlin, Germany and was presented to her teacher, Doug Moyer, using Google Meet. "Thank you so, so much!!! It was super fun," Mira said as she expressed her gratitude for this opportunity in a reflection to her teacher.

Thank you Mira, Mr. Moyer and all of our North Penn teachers, staff, students and families for their flexibility and commitment to the education of our students. It's because of you that we remain North Penn strong.
